“All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts..."  W.S.

WHAT IS COMMUNITY THEATER?

Unique among theater companies, Community Theater taps into the hearts and soles of people who have a deep desire to be a part of something larger than themselves.  The Oswego Players invites people to find that home away from home...a special place where folks like yourself are able be a part of the energy that creates "magic" on the stage.

For 80 years, the Oswego Players has welcomed people from all walks of life to join in their mission of bringing quality live theater to the Central New York area. Established in 1938, the Players is one of the oldest continuously operating community theater organizations in the country. We  produce six major productions a year, hold theater camp for youth and award two scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing higher education in the fine arts. But, most importantly many of the finest people anywhere continue to enjoy the friendship and camradarie that only community theater can create.
