Oswego Players spotlights Chiasson’s for Local Support

For almost 90 years, the Oswego Players has entertained community audiences by offering “live theater performed by your neighbors – affordable, intimate and only here in Oswego.” For over 30 years, Chiasson’s Heating and Air Conditioning have been offering sale, service and installation of heating and cooling systems to Oswego businesses and residents. A chance meeting of the two organizations has supercharged a relationship for the past year.

“At Chiasson’s, we’ve always been interested in local community activity,” owner Chuck Chiasson said. “Last year, we were doing some major work at a private residence and it turned out that resident was on the Board of the Oswego Players and invited us to review their HVAC system. One thing led to another, and we ended up being their major sponsor for 2026.”

“As a community theater, we’re always on the lookout for mutually beneficial business arrangements,” Oswego Players President Tammy Thompson said. “If a local business can provide some sponsorship, we are very happy to promote their business to the audiences who want to come out, connect, and share a night with their community. As an all-volunteer organization it is the support from businesses like Chiasson’s that enable us to continue offering productions while maintaining affordable ticket prices.”

On August 12th, Thompson flanked by two Players board members presented an appreciation plaque to Chiasson’s for their generous support as the major “Spotlight” sponsor of the Oswego Players 2026 season. Five of Chiasson’s 13 employees attended the presentation with the remainder on callouts servicing customer needs. “We’ve had a blast supporting the Players this last year,” said General Manager Nate Hohman. “I’ve been to see five plays in the last year, taking my friends and family as their availability allows. The Oswego Players presents a diverse range of plays and I’ve been really impressed with the talent shown across the board – acting, set building, lighting, front of house: you name it, they’ve nailed it!”

At the presentation, Chiasson provided a check to Thompson to continue the sponsorship into 2027. “Supporting local businesses are important to us,” Chiasson commented, “and the willingness of the Oswego Players to acknowledge our contribution just makes it easier for us to continue building this relationship. Long may it continue!”
