There are three more performances ready for audiences to enjoy as the Oswego Players close out their season opener this weekend. Tickets are still available for April 8th, 9th, and 10th in the Frances Marion Brown Theater by calling the box office at 315-343-5138 or making reservations online at: oswegoplayers.org.
The comedy production features four local talents who join together for two hours of great laughs and a couple of tears. Sherri Metz plays the role of Randa Covington, Beth DeRousie takes on the character of Dot Haigler, Gina Mazzoli Wentworth portrays Jinx Jenkins, and Beverly Murtha becomes Marlafaye Mosley, four strangers who become fast friends over a series of funny life escapades.
In a recent review of the Oswego Players’ production, Linda Loomis writes…” Each actor lists credits in regional theater, and their combined skill bolsters their performance as they illuminate the stage individually and collectively. “
She goes on to write…” The work, by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, is perfect for the intimate, 100-seat theater, and the long-established company demonstrates all that is best about community theater as crew members–on stage and support teams — collaborate for success.”
As the Oswego Players’ celebrate their 84th year of community theater with their season opener of “The Savannah Sipping Society” they thank all those who attended last weekend’s three performance run and encourage everyone who wants a fun night or afternoon of laughter and good spirit to join them at their home in the Civic Arts Center of Oswego, 30 Donahue Drive, Oswego, New York. Ticket prices include Adults $15 and Seniors and Students for $10.
