The Oswego Players is proud to introduce the Creation Studio dancers featured in their upcoming December production of “Drosselmeyer’s Nutcracker”. “Drosselmeyer’s Nutcracker”, is a new version of the Nutcracker written by Ramonda Huff. “Drosselmeyer’s Nutcracker” is directed by Amy C. Metz. It is based on the story by ETA Hoffman’s ”The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” and Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Ballet. The production also includes excerpts from the Nutcracker ballet performed by select students from Creation Studio.
Lily-Ann Mantor is sixth grader at KPS Elementary school. Her hobbies are dance and ice-skating. Lily has been dancing since she was two years old. She is excited about dancing in this production because she loves dancing.
Olivia Hicks is in sixth grade and she is homeschooled. She loves to draw and hang out with friends. Olivia was in the play “Annie Jr.” as Grace Farrell and have done many dance recitals at Creation Studio. She is very excited to be dancing in this play.
Sophia Turnbaugh is in eighth grade and she is homeschooled. Some of Sophia’s hobbies are reading, drawing, singing, and dancing. She has previously performed in recitals for Creation Studio. Sophia is really excited about high school next year.
Abigail Wells is in 10th grade and goes to G. Ray Bodley high school. Abigail’s hobbies include cooking and hanging out with her friends. This is Abigail’s first theater production. Abigail is excited because she’s always enjoyed theater.
Lou A Huff is so excited to be in the nutcracker. Lou is homeschooled and is in ninth grade. Lou likes making jewelry and painting. She has been in Frozen Junior as Kristoff and Annie Junior as Bert Healy. She is so excited to be in the nutcracker because she has been working so hard and in her dances.
Lillee Thompson is a sophomore at Oswego High School. She enjoys dancing and playing sports including softball and bowling. For as long as she can remember, she has been dancing in her living room or at the studio. Lillee has been performing for eight years now. She so excited to be able to play the toy soldier and to be in the hot cocoa dance.
The dates of Drosselmeyer’s Nutcracker are December 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th are at 7:30 pm. December 4th and 11th are Sunday matinees both at 2:00 pm. Ticket prices for these performances are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. Tickets are now on sale at the box office.
