The Oswego Players will be holding auditions for one of their 2023 Don McCann playwriting Winners. Kevin Colvin will be directing prize winner “Game of the Week” written by Aaron Buitron and Phil Gross. Game of the Week will be presented alongside Alexis Martin’s Old Money, New Habits as The Games We Play on March 8th , 9th 10th at the Frances Marion Brown Theater. The director of the production Kevin Colvin is looking for a cast of two men and two women.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, February 9th from 5:00 p.m. to 7 00 p.m. at the Francis Marion Brown Theatre located near Fort Ontario in Oswego, NY.  There will be no callbacks for this production and all auditioning actors will be asked to “Cold Read” from the script. No monologues are necessary.

Game of the Week begins with Kat and her husband, Rudy, have invited Rudy’s friend Steve and his wife, Alicia, for a long overdue game night. While Kat is making cookies, Alicia asks her about her recovery from her stay in a psychiatric ward. When they return to the game, Steve interupts Rudy’s explanation of the rules to chastise his wife for asking such a rude question. A long argument ensues. This results in Steve and Alicia leaving before the game begins. A further argument occurs between Kat and Rudy until Kat gets a text message that humorously unites them.
